You are a Lighthouse

You are a lighthouse, helping the world find its way home.

A couple of months ago, I had a 'body talk' session, and I was encouraged to remember that I was a 'lighthouse', and not a channel for other people's emotional pain. In this very crunchy period of this world's dissolution and rebirth, this is something that we must all remember. The heaviness of global energies is palpable at the moment. World news is bringing growing fear to many who don't have the Spiritual belief in a better world to come. Many are perceiving chaos and disaster, and who can blame them? - this seems visually so. However, the most tumultuous time is usually before the birth of something new - the storm before the calm, perhaps. This week, I was talking with a friend about the importance of faith. I usually use the word 'trust' as it is less religious sounding and therefore more inclusive, however 'faith' is a beautiful word, and is accurate in meaning when referring to the Spiritual journey. The belief in the unseen must be central if we are to develop a solid foundation of Spiritual practice. Also, the belief that the light is more powerful than the darkness, and that it will always eclipse it.

Although faith can be difficult at times, remembering that there are many ways of perceiving, can help. Realities that cannot be seen, can be felt. Feeling the love of the Divine and of the Earth that holds us, can assist us in connecting to the unseen realities that contain far greater light and potential than we are seeing in the world that we are being shown in the media. These realities are far removed from mine in this moment, as I look out over the trees and through the misty rain on the island. There is a peace and stillness here that belies the political and social divisiveness that has been created in the outer world. Last night, I dreamed I was traveling/soaring through time and space - through the incredible beauty and spaciousness of the cosmos. From this vantagepoint, there is a bigger picture, and one we must connect with if we are to develop stronger faith that all is well.

My understanding is that what we are being presented with in the world is not the truth of what is happening, so I am not 'in fear' about it. Also, knowing that those who have 'faith' are here to hold light for the collective, I understand that I must, as much as I can, envision a brighter future and maintain a sense of calm and a reverence for the beauty that already exists. Seeing the suffering of the world is difficult for lightworkers and empaths. Because of my natural tendency to want to spare others from pain, knowing that I must be a 'lighthouse' rather than a 'channel', helps me to allow those around me to experience the challenging situations and emotions that are providing healing for them. This is a period of accelerated growth for all of us, and this is something to embrace and celebrate. With an enhanced ability to transmute energies and ascend in frequency, we will affect change in the wider world at ever-increasing speed.

As much as possible, we can start living 'as if' we are experiencing the world that we wish to see. The top-down authority with which the world is structured has created division and fear. Structures such as the political and education systems are not conducive to the wellbeing and individuality of the people who are now being born on this planet. Those of us who are aware, must accept our roles as forerunners to new ways of living and being. I am meeting many people, as well as myself, who have found themselves unable or unwilling, after illness, burnout, or Spiritual awakening, to reenter society in the ways in which they existed there previously. Many children are no longer able to function within the school system. They, and we, by our lack of participation in the old systems, are forcing them to dissolve or change. This is what we signed up for. Change cannot occur through comfort and stability, and these must be surrendered by those who have the capacity to do so.

Yesterday, I had lunch at the Boat Club with some friends - and some new acquaintances - (we saw dolphins!!) - and we were talking about Covid, and how the majority of the world complied with the mandates. Someone said, quietly, that he had been ''in the B team''. Although, naturally, I don't want to promote division between 'teams', some of us must make choices that diverge from those of the majority. We should feel privileged to be choosing to be in ''the B team'' and to continue living lives that are not in line with societal norms, and instead, are in alignment with the desires of our hearts and with our souls' evolution. In doing so, we can create lives for ourselves that support our wellbeing and can therefore become lighthouses that point the way to healthier and happier ways of being.

Because of the chaotic energies of the present moment, people have been experiencing feelings of profound loneliness, lack of direction and purpose, lack of motivation, and loss of faith. If this is you, these are temporary states and should not be given too much power or significance. If they are yours, allow them and let them pass through you. Try not to take on the feelings of others. Last week, a friend on the island read my palm for the first time. He said he saw many years (from the age of fourteen) of emotional turmoil from experiencing the pain of the world and those around me. He said it made him feel like he wanted to cry. I felt incredibly witnessed by this, and his reading really moved me, but it was also a good reminder that this way of being was not supportive of my wellbeing or ability to function effectively in my life. I have learned that compassion is preferable to empathy. We can care just as much for others without becoming overly entangled in their emotional experiences.

If you are experiencing intense or unsettling emotions or exhaustion, you may be an empath or lightworker. Acknowledge the unseen work you are doing in the world and allow yourself to rest and recover. It's okay not to be preoccupied with goals, plans and productivity. It's also okay to not always be 'giving'. Allow yourself to also receive. Trust the flow of the universal energies that guide you. Expect the best possible outcomes - the highest timelines. Enjoy the beauty that is available to us every day - the butterflies, the rainbows, the sunsets - the dolphins! Connect with likeminded others who can remind you that you are not alone or unwitnessed. Feel the subtle energies under the surface - the rumblings of change - the movement of the earth - the buds of the new earth that are beginning to bloom. Become intuitively in tune with that which is not so easily seen and your belief in a better world will grow stronger - and so will your light - and so, you will become a lighthouse for the world.
